A typically foggy but brilliant day for the wedding of Steve & Jodie at St Giles Church in Chideock, followed by the reception at the famous Moonfleet Manor Hotel, near Weymouth.
Even though it was a little overcast and the picturesque coast road was covered by fog, it remained dry and the fog added something special to a number of the portraits we took. Despite the lack of view, we still stopped on the coast road on the way back from the church to the hotel as it was too good an opportunity to miss. We managed to find a nice spot and get some shots with St Catherine’s Chapel in Abbotsbury and the famous fleet in view.
The day was fantastic from start to finish. Jodie is one of my oldest friends and she and Steve are so well matched. It was a real pleasure to capture their wedding day, I loved every minute.
I photographed from the ceremony until the first dance and stayed to get a few images of guests enjoying themselves on the dancefloor. As ever, I focused on lots of natural, candid images, as well as some nice portraits with the couple both on the coast road and down by the fleet.
A small selection of my photographs from the day are below, please take a look
